What We Think:

This course is definitely the best Reiki course we could find. From our experience, it truly outshines the other courses in both Quality and Quantity of material. The course is very comprehensive - yet extremely easy to learn from.

Here's a look on different aspects of the course:

Reiki Methods Taught:

This course teaches Chikara-Reiki-Do, Usui Reiki and Tibetan Reiki, compared with most other courses, which teach only Usui Reiki or Tibetan Reiki alone. This greatly varies and boosts the student's healing powers and provides a larger, better equipped "Reiki Toolkit" from which to choose what to do and how when you start using Reiki for healing or teaching it as a master. We really enjoyed the added versatility, and in our opinion this feature alone makes the course better than the other courses we tested.

The Videos:

Teaching three Reiki methods is not the course's only strength. In fact - its biggest strength in our opinion are the almost 2-hours of video lessons and attunements.

True - the course manuals include detailed instructions regarding what you should do during the attunements - but seeing everything demonstrated in front of you eliminates all possible mistakes and problem areas. This makes learning extremely easy, and inspires confidence.

The videos are professionally produced and come in Low- Medium- and High-Quality, to provide for your internet connection speed (dialup to high-speed broadband).

We tested several courses for this section and almost all other courses make do with no videos whatsoever. We find this lacking, as videos make learning much easier. Again - a big advantage for this course.

The Slideshows, eBooks and Printable Material:

The course contains almost THREE TIMES the printable material included in the 2nd place finishing course Essence of Reiki. While this sounds like a lot of reading, it's also a very enjoyable read. Consider the following:

Most reading material is provided both as printable eBooks, and as online pages tailored for on-screen display. This means that if you don't want to print the material, on-screen reading is easy and fun.
The reading material unfolds like a wondrous story. Just start reading "The History of Reiki" and you'll see what we mean. In our line of business we get to test a HUGE number of courses for the reviews we prepare, and of all the courses we tested - this is arguably the most enjoyable read! (Check our other reviews for Guitar courses, Piano, Singing, Hypnosis etc. - you won't see us saying this anywhere else).
Everything is clearly explained and fully illustrated with photos of anything that could help (hand positions, attunement preparations etc.)
The course is also extremely helpful if you plan to learn Reiki not only for personal healing but also as a full-time or part-time profession. As discussed in the opening page of this review, Reiki Healing and Reiki Teaching have become increasingly profitable in recent years. To assist you, the course includes an entire eBook on the subject of opening your own Reiki practice as a healer or as a teacher/master and even provides reprint rights to the 3 manuals and for certificates, so that you can give them to your students.
The Reiki Level 1, Level 2 and Master certificates for Chikara-Reiki-Do, Usui Reiki and Tibetan Reiki look great on the wall (note that by default only a Master certificate is supplied. Level 1 and 2 certificates are sent only if you request them by email)

Easy to use, fun to read, extremely comprehensive... You got the idea by now - we really like this course!

The Attunements:

Like the other top courses, this course provides instructions on how to attune yourself to all three levels - similar to how Dr. Usui attuned himself. It also provides a distance attunement ceremony, in which the makers of the course attune you.

This is where the similarities end.

The Ultimate Reiki Package's attunement ceremony is very different from other ceremonies. We cannot disclose details here, but lets just say it is unique in many aspects and we didn't find anything like it. Believers will say it is more powerful. Skeptics will admit it's more fun. We feel it is both.

The distant attunement is provided along with a webcast:

You book a time for the distance attunement.
A few hours before the specified time, you will receive by email a link for the webcast.
When the time of attunement arrives, you click the webcast link, and follow instructions clearly explained in the eBooks and visibly demonstrated in the webcast video.
Basically, you watch Judith Conroy on-line as she provides the distant attunement, along with a demonstration on what you should do during the ceremony.
Other courses just don't follow - another win for this course.

A Few Criticisms:

Just so the course creators don't blush with all this praise - here's the criticism we could dig up on this course:

The Radical Reiki Radical Life eBook which forms the backbone of this course truly is radical. While we see this as a blessing, it calls for an open mind and some people won't agree to all of its teachings.
Second place winner Essence of Reiki shows more hand positions and symbols than this course does.
If you want to learn only Usui Reiki, strictly as taught by Usui, you might prefer second place winner Essence of Reiki. Although the Ultimate Reiki Package is excellent for learning Usui Reiki, it puts less emphasis on being strictly Usui, because besides Usui Reiki it also teaches Tibetan Reiki and Chikara-Reiki-Do. In our eyes this is the course's biggest strength, but Usui purists may disagree.
