Let's get a few things straight:

This course is NOT as good, or nearly as good as the top courses.
It is also NOT the 4th best drumming course we tested. There were several other drums lessons courses that we liked better, but wore a higher price tag.
However, if you don't have the $100&up required for the excellent Rock Drumming System and Learn and Master Guitar, or you just want to spend less than $50, in our opinion you won't get better than this.

Jim McCarthy's Begin Drumming is the best course in our tests under $50. It lays down a solid drumming foundation, at a low price. True - You won't get multiple camera angles here; You won't be sent any physical DVDs, CDs or Workbooks (the course is downloadable); and you won't get any advanced drumming lessons, as this is a beginners-only course that doesn't aspire to teach intermediate or advanced drumming. What you will get, however, are drum lessons for beginners that are well executed and teach you how to play drums well.

Note that most students purchase courses that cost between $100 and $600 (a relative bargain compared to lessons with a tutor, which normally cost between $1200 and $1500 per year!). Some of these courses provide truly excellent beginner to advanced tutoring, as demonstrated in our test winners Learn and Master Guitar and the Rock Drumming System.
